Respect for books influences the creation of study furniture, manifesting in the refined and cultured demeanor of a gentleman, its simple and clean design, and its robust and upright form, thus forming its cultural character. Traditionally, study furniture making followed two paths: the "literati" path, pursuing simplicity, ethereal beauty, purity, and elegance, and the "royal" path, emphasizing luxury, simplicity, grandeur, and solemnity. Contemporary study furniture suffers from problems such as overemphasizing materials while neglecting humanistic craftsmanship, poor adaptability to modern books, and a tendency to imitate ancient artifacts rather than innovate.
